The subject of biophysics and biophysical chemistry is biology. The authors take the editorial position that biology is not to be used as an excuse for studying the properties of physical methods or for exploring issues in physical chemistry, however interesting the methods or physical/chemical concerns may be. In this review, we focus on recent laboratory studies of the heterogeneous and multiphase chemistry and photochemistry of mineral dust aerosol, a large mass fraction of the tropospheric aerosol. The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.
